For any school considering joining a MAT, school leaders will assess what the benefits and challenges are of becoming an academy and joining a MAT and these will be different for every school that is considering joining a MAT.

What do we do?
School Improvement
A comprehensive, ambitious and collaborative approach to school improvement. Ofsted preparation and support for school leaders and local governors. Support to improve educational outcomes for all pupils regardless of their starting point,
Finance
Provision of advice, support and oversight of finance procedures. Financial processing, budget planning, audit, filing accounts and reporting to the DfE is carried out by the Met Central Team (individual schools do not need to do this).
HR & Payroll
Provision of advice, support, tools and oversight of all HR and payroll procedures. Guidance on required reports and processing timetable. Payroll is run at Trust level.
Facilities Management
Provision of advice and guidance on reactive maintenance issues, regular health & safety audits, monitoring of required regular testing. HS&E Compliance, provision of all site related contracts. Trust Wide Agreements.Accordion content
IT Support
Provision of advice, support and guidance on the technical aspects of hardware, networking, cloud based collaborative tools and best practice with regards to data protection and security. Trust Wide agreements.
Governance
Advice, guidance and support on policies, websites, social media, promotional videos and printed media. Provision of 'Adapt and Adopt' policies.
Legal Advice
Advice and guidance to deliver compliance in schools across all areas.
Data Management
Advice, guidance and audit to ensure schools are compliant with all aspects of data protection. GDPR, FOI. Advice, support and oversight of MIS.
