  • Remembrance at Borlase

    Remembering the 62 Borlasians who fell in the Great War, the 38 Borlasians who fell in the Second World War and all who have and currently serve in the HM Armed Forces. A chapel service for Year 7's and Old Borlasians was followed by a poignant wreath laying ceremony for the whole school on the tennis courts at which there were readings and the Choir sang 'Abide With Me'.  We will remember them.

  • Borlase Celebrates 400years

    What a wonderful day of celebrations at Borlase yesterday.  Over 800 visitors and almost 300 children were involved in the History of Borlase Exhibition to celebrate 400years of Borlase.  Celebrations continue on Saturday 13th July with the Borlase 400 Birthday Bash.

  • Lord Young Visits Beechview

    We were very pleased to welcome our Member, Lord George Young, to Beechview Academy today.  The children were enjoying their annual sports day during his visit and it was great to see pupils, teachers and parents all enjoying themselves in the sunshine.  As a Trust we believe strongly in the value of physical activity and it was great to see active participation from all.

  • Ofsted Rates Sir William Borlase's an 'Outstanding' School

    The recent Ofsted report provides external evidence of the incredible commitment of our staff at Borlase, the dedication of our local governors and MET trustees and the attitude and character of Borlase students. In recognising the school as a 'vibrant and generous community' and 'a school where you can be who you want to be' and that 'the school's ethos is positive and joyful', the report attests to Borlase's continued commitment to follow things worthy.
